I am 33 years old and 8 years back when i first tried an escalator i was very afraid and my pregnancy was in its last days. My husband assured me he would hold me and keep me safe. Nothing would happen.. but as soon as i stepped on the escalator the whole world around me swirled and i lost my balance. My husband held me with one hand while the other hand was keeping him balanced was on the belt where it got stuck and was injured. I guess that’s the first and last time i tried escalators and now my 3 kids aging 7, 5, and 3 move around escalators freely without any support, but my fear remains the same. I don’t know any strategy that can help me overcome my fear though my friends and family encourage me a lot but nothing works.
