It feels weird writing about this bc I rarely tell anyone but I have had a fear of choking for about 15 years now. At first I lost a bunch of weight and was very underweight and now I only eat peanut butter or ice cream (maybe yogurt etc…). But foods that go down easy are usually not the healthy ones and now I’ve gained weight and am about 25 lbs overweight. I hate going out to dinner or eating with people and I don’t really even talk to my psychiatrist about it bc it feels like it will never get better.
